Junior welterweight contender Lucas Matthysse (34-2, 32KOs) gave WBO welterweight champion Timothy Bradley (30-0, 12KOs) some good work when the two of them sparred on Monday. Matthysse is going to face WBA/WBC champion Danny Garcia (26-0, 16KOs) on September 14th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, while Bradley will defend his title against Mexican superstar Juan Manuel Marquez (55-6-1, 40KOs) on October 12th at the Thomas & Mack Center.

Interesting. Love Bradley's honesty. Though I'm sure peeps in this forum will find one way or the other to crap on him. I'm a big fan of Marquez, but also love Timmy. May the best man win.

I'm not Bradley's biggest fan style wise, but I've always liked him as a person. Good, honest, hardworking man. And tells it like it is.

        Respect.

marquez does'nt hit no where near harder than mathysse, but he's a very good counter puncher. all bradley has to do is box and he should win this fight. jmm is a future hall of famer but its time to call it a career. if he defeats or lose to bradley. i really hope he retires for his health and families sake.

                    What he really meant:
"I got shook. The lefts and rights poured in I couldn't stop them. I was hanging in for the sound of the bell. Damn, that guy's a beast. No way Mayweather would fight that guy. No way in hell! If Floyd can't do it, who am I to be ashamed? I feel psychologically confident now."
