Comments Thread For: Mosley vs. Mundine is Now in Jeopardy Over Money

All signs pointed to Sugar Shane Mosley taking on Anthony Mundine on October 23rd in Mundine’s home country of Australia but things look to have hit a snag. Mosley was in attendance at Saul “Canelo” Alvarez’s media day and shared that the fight with Mundine may not happen after all.

“Well I’m supposed to fight Anthony Mundine but they’re having money problems and sending money to escrow so that fight might not happen. It might not happen and I didn’t really want to fight at 154 [pounds] anyway so the next fight can be at 147. The problem now is the money. If they can’t put a measly $300,000 into an escrow account until we fight then how are we going to fight for the money they are talking about?” Mosley would tell BoxingScene.

WTF? Does this fight seriously need a press conference in LA? Also, is Showtime supposed to be showing this?
