    Comments Thread For: Chavez Jr. Says Freddie Roach Will Be Back With Him

    According to former middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (46-1-1, 32KOs), veteran trainer Freddie Roach will return to his corner in the future. Roach will be back in his corner - after the upcoming super middleweight fight with Brian Vera on September 28th at StubHub Center in Carson, California. The head coach for Vera fight will be Vladimir Baldenebro, and Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. will also be in the corner. Roach has his hands full in the next few months, training Manny Pacquiao, Miguel Cotto and Vanes Martirosyan for scheduled fall fights.

      Too bad no 24/7 for this fight, I would like to see how things go in his training camp again. Roach looked pissed at times during the last camp.

                  I'd be a bit surprised to see Roach training him again considering how it worked out the last time,and at some point wouldn't to many voices be disruptive.

                              1. Freddy does not need the money.
                              2. Freddy is a good guy who is forgiving.
                              3. Freddy believes in discipline..something that Jr. must still learn.
                              4. Freddy and Jr. make a good pair and Freddy has done a lot for Jr.s skill and technique.
                              5. Money talks and if Jr. gets another BIG payday Freddy would be foolish to turn it down.
                              6. Jr. MUST grow up and train like a Pro not a spoiled rich kid.

                                  whoever trains Jr better get their azz in gear and teach him some basic boxing defense and some semblance of a jab. If not, the azz whippings have just begun for this kid. Jr will not beat even one world class opponent with his current skill set

                                      good ****. Not sure why Chavez gets so much hate. I agree he is a bit lazy and likes to party.. but heck so do all of us. We can relate to him. Kid likes to get in the ring and just fight, dude is a fighter
