Wow, how did I not know he is from Clearwater? Cool, gives me a somewhat hometown fighter to root for again.

Cool stuff man. Too bad I don't think he trains out of St Pete/Clearwater anymore. I wouldve loved to drop by the gym and see him when I went back home.

cuaht trains in florida. it wouldn't surprise me at all if he's familiar with one time, and birmingham, as well as one of my favorite fighters / technicians, winky wright.

That's how I met Thurman the first time in Deerfield Beach. We ended up going out to get lunch and talked about boxing for a few hours. Really nice guy and btw I was there this weekend with two of my fighters.

on a date ??? gay LOL but all joking aside, Thurman seems an ok guy but I just don't see him reaching the upper levels of the sport. I hope I'm wrong but from what I've seen of him lately, he is starting to believe his own hype about the power. WW is a very top heavy division, guys like Manny, Floy, JMM and Bradley would all beat him, with the only tough match up probably being Bradley.

Thurman does have a shot at the second tier though, Khan, Broner, Maidana, Brook and possibly Matthysse/Garcia when one of them moves up!

i remember him when our team went up to Tampa. One of our guys Edvan Barros fought him. He went the distance with Edvan. Won of course but went 8 with a tough ass dude. He was just another person like everyone else back then ....an up comer. glad to see him making waves though. Good for him

Keith Thurman is easily turning into the most well-rounded boxer right now, he's a big threat to anyone's favorite boxer and if you haven't recognized it yet.. you're a hater!!
