That's a good one, as slow as Froch is he learned how to maximize his potential with what little athletic ability he has. He has some weird unorthodox moves too, I like how he'll sometimes lunge in with the straight right hand causing him to switch into a southpaw stance a bit, then he'll throw a left hook out of that stance and land it. Froch knows how to feint very well too.

That good brain, not much skill is hard, Vasquez is pretty skilled. Not many can do what he does, he might not be the most exciting champ out there but he gets the job done with skills.

Salido is also pretty skillful his inside game is pretty damn good and was begging to work on Garcia who is one of the most skilled fighters right now.

You have to have skills in order to be a champion or a price fighter there's no way you can move up on the ranks with little skills and a lot of brain.

They're smart but they don't have a lot of skill IMO, they're just very disciplined and consistent in the ring. Vasquez just moves around the ring and jabs 90% of the time, Salido doesn't have a wide variety of things he can do but he makes the best of what he has.

                Who would you pick?

Under that category? No one. I don't think a guy that doesn't have a lot of skill can become world champion.

What you say about Vasquez isn't fair, if it didn't take a lot of skill to do what he does, every dedicated fighter would fight like him and they would become world champion.

Salido has been world champion multiple times, if he didn't have a lot of skills like you claim then, he has the best luck in the world.

But you have to be smart to be able to do what he does with the small amount of skill he has. You don't necessarily need to have a lot of skills to become world champ, there have been many champions who weren't very skilled but made up for it in the power, chin, heart and aggression departments.

I get that there were champions with less skills than others but a good skill set is the foundation to a great boxer. The bold part I don't think is true at all. Even if you don't think so, being like vasquez or Wladimir/Vitali takes a lot of skill to pull off. Like I said, Salido was in there with a guy with both better ring IQ and skills than him (Mikey) and he began to set his rhythm until the fight was stopped and that takes a lot of skill not just brains.
