To me it looked like he faked the jab and came around with the left hook! He was throwing the jab throughout the round!

No, he actually dipped to lead Abner to believe he was going to the body. That's the reason Abner dropped his right hand.




Gonzalez did the same thing when he KO'd Hasegawa, but it was with a right hand shot instead.



Both of those guys were so sure that Gonzalez was going downstairs, but he changed the trajectory of the shots and caught them both up top when they least expected it. Very crafty move.
