Who wins: Leo Santa Cruz vs. Guilllermo Rigondeaux

This seems like a popular fantasy match and won't happen until Rigondeaux breaks away from Bob Arum.

We all know Rigondeaux is a masterclass boxing technician. He is a supremely gifted counter puncher...That being said I don't think waiting around or trying to box Rigondeaux is the way to beat him. There is no technical boxer in the world that is better than Rigondeaux...yes not even Floyd Mayweather.

However, I do think the best chance of beating Rigondeaux is to pressure him and hit him anywhere you can. When I say pressure I mean you got to be on his chest and not give him space. Rigo has a great half back step left counter so that's something Santa Cruz has to watch out for. The reason I really like Santa Cruz as a fighter is because I like his punch placement and I feel like he isn't a "mindless" pressure fighter. There's a method to his madness and he using his gloves to block and pick off the punches.

I think it does him a disservice by calling him a baby Margarito because to me, he is nothing like Margarito except being Mexican.

Anyways who do you guys got in this "fantasy" matchup? I got Rigondeaux as of now but I am definitely intrigued.

Not ready to pick Santa Cruz. I want this fight, though.

Leo has the style to give Rigo problems. The activity level and body attack of Santa Cruz would worry me....

but, Rigo's precision counter attacking, power, and skill should take the day.

Never betting against my man Rigo

Rigorous hits him in the body and Leo retires from the beating

As much as i think that Leo looks like a machine, I can imagine a scenario where Rigo right bombs him as he's coming in and pivots away, leaving Leo a margarito post-pac face.

Never betting against El Chachal after he took Donaire to boxing school.
