Yea, stylistically speaking... but those guys will be relentless with him... at least for the first few rounds with Fig. Molina... that guy never quits and he could get knocked out late

Exactly Sergio Thompson and Juan Salgado were unknowns when they stopped Linares but they got some serious power. Thompson has 25 KO's in 27 fights.

I remember looking at Thompson's KO ratio before the fight and thinking that Linares's team made a bad decision. You don't put a guy in with a puncher after they just got stopped previously.

Molina is such a weird case. He looked like crap against Klimov, and then pulled out the upset against Bey. I would pick Molina to stop Linares on cuts. I think if Linares wants to prove he belongs at the top, he needs to get through Molina.

Bey was eating a bunch of right hands, event though Molina was losing, he'd land a right hand ever round or so that shook Bey.
Guess Bey reached his limit in the last round.

And yea... I don't get the Klimlov loss

bumping this to share the link to his last fight. Nice ko I swear Linares technically is a masterpiece if it wasn't for his chin/skin breaking he imo could be one of the best in this generation.

Thanks for sharing, impressive KO. He needs to move his head more instead of just putting his hands up, that's how he got caught. Still has enough talent to become champion at lightweight.

I agree head movement is key that's one gripe I have about him he tries to turn his head with the shot instead of moving it out of the way entirely and sometimes he turns into the punch which causes more of an impact.

Linares is still one of my favs, I hope he can become a champ at LW, but it's probably just wishful thinking on my part.
