Russell was a fighter that I took a liking to, but then the injuries and TBAs began to wear me down. He's fought a bunch of nobodies, and now he has a title shot at his feet. Hopefully he takes it and makes the most of it. This is a winnable fight for him, but I think his chin will get tested.

This is precisely my position on this potential fight.

Have my seat reserved on the GRJr express but am not boarding until he whups somebody who could conceivably beat him.

Russel is only 23-0 and you call that taking forever to step up?Then when he tries to step up and fight a belt holder,you say he don`t deserve it.Canelo Alvarez finally step up in opposition after 40 or more fights,now that`s taking forever to step up.Sound like you a hater to me,and it sounds like you are afraid of Gonzalez getting wrecked by Russel which would make Russell a champion.
