Gonzalez is a limited fighter that has a hard punch. His reign will not be long but he is fun to watch.

Pushing it, he still has 4-5 more years to get that feria. I'm talking about Gonzales.

I see a lot of criticism towards him, but after rewatching those replays of him knocking Mares out, how can you take anything away from him? That rush style he has has worked with for over 80 percent of his career, now with Nacho, why wouldn't he perfect what has given him over over 90 percent of his wins coming via ko?

He might be past his physical prime, but he's far from being worn out.

It's boxing anything can happen and when you're up against a big puncher all it really takes is one little mistake and it's good night. I think Mares underestimated Gonzalaez and believed his own hype. Sometimes a loss can make you a better fighter though. He should take a break be with his family and then come back stronger hungry and motivated.
