Well well well I guess Mares is a bum because he got KO'd right? Fickle boxing fans.

Some fans have hate a sarcasm to say something like that. Mares showed good spirits and the things he said at the end show me he is very grounded and understand these things happen. He will be back. All these top fights one after another prove one thing.....no one will ever call him a coward or protected fighter. Not ever. Mares even said that at least he was beaten by a friend which is a nice thing to say.

I'm not going to say Gonzalez is underrated, but I think he's inconsistent. On a good night he can do things like knocking out any fighter (tonight it was Abner) while on a bad night he can get knocked out in a devastating way (vs Nishioka for example)

If he was more consistent he would be a fantastic fighter, but he's not going to do that anymore. Maybe he knocked Abner tonight and then he loses the next time vs a bum, that's the way Gonzalez is.

I think that punch would have landed like that soon or later....Gonzales was fighting the perfect fight;like it or not nacho's fighters are always well disciplined as if they are playing chess not boxing...because if it happen that easy..y would it get any harder??? mares will bounce back but he should move back down and go after rigo after a couple fights...where the money is

I'm not sure if it will ever happen but Floyd needs a good humbling and to be brought back down to earth. His narcissism is over the top along with all those empty headed YES men around him praising him like a religious symbol with everything he says and does. And tonight on 24/7 they were like a Cult following with their petty rehearsed "hard work" and "dedication" chants which was cheesy.
