Big deal, Braehmer dominated another nothing opponent. Story of his career. Kovalev would beat the snot out of him, but he will never, ever get in the ring with somebody of Kovalev's quality. He is satisfied beating C level opposition and staying away from the big boys. He should fight Shumenov: two fighters afraid of legit opposition

Shumenov has already attempted to fight Braehmer on january 8th 2011 in a WBA WBO unification fight but Braehmer flew out of Kazakhstan a couple of days before the fight without telling anyone and then when asked where he was his excuse was that he was ill so they had to get a 40 year old William Joppy who was on the card anyway to step up to fight Shumenov to replace him.

Also notice when he was ordered to fight his mandatory Nathan Cleverly 5 months later for his WBO title he pulled the same **** a few days away from the fight citing a eye injury and ended up getting stripped as he did not defend his belt against Shumenov or Cleverly.

This is the problem we have when they have 4 portions of one title you get people like Braehmer claiming they are world champions when they are not prepared to even defend against a threat and would rather get stripped and coast at the european level against no hopers.

Me personally i think Kovalev would take the fight in a heartbeat if ordered now or whenever they do it unless he gets offered a HBO megafight in 2014.

Maybe he's waiting for Shumenov to get stripped since Shumenov hasn't fought a warm body in more than three years and hasn't defended against anybody in more than a year.
