Comments Thread For: Abraham Secures Tough Decision Win Over Shihepo

And the force was with him but the luck was not. WBO #8 Namibian Willbeforce Shihepo (20-7, 15 KOs) produced one of his finest performances but came just a notch short of defeating ex-WBO super middleweight and ex-IBF middleweight king Arthur Abraham (37-4, 28 KOs) in a bid for a vacant WBO I/C title. The fading German Armenian won a close unanimous decision over twelve and remains a viable challenger for the crown, now owned by his bitter rival Robert Stieglitz. Shihepo, on the other hand, despite a game effort will have to come back to the regional circuit in search for a backdoor at the top.

It was tough.... he doesn't beat the top guys at 168... might as well get that payday against Stieglitz

The big boys ran Abraham back to obscurity. No surprise. He failed miserably in the Super 6 going in as a favorite. He was on top of the world till the Super 6 exposed him.

Abraham was never that great, now he is completely shot. He can only work for 10-20 seconds of each round it is ridiculous.

This guy was so overrated at 168... he has never recorded a significant win at the weight and always struggled against average opposition. The truth is he is too much a a midgit for the super middleweight division, he should have stayed at 160. He also fights in a very wild orangutan-like style, the guy just doesn't know how to box. In about a dozen 168 fights he's only had 3 or 4 knockouts and all of them were either against journeymen or shot middleweights moving up. I don't see what anyone ever saw in him.

I don't think he's going back down to MW and he's looking for the money fights now.
