Pulev needs more work. He may never be ready. But its in his best interest to get more experience.

Throw Thompson On The Heap & Move; This Is Why He Didn't Need Another Klitschko Shot

Started out "Defensive". ******, who does that and just hand deliver the first 3-5 rounds to your opponent? Especially when you're up in age and at the end of your career. You pull out all stops and take your shots early while you're fresh. If it doesn't work out, then retire. But don't think you're gonna tire the younger more up and coming guy how and catch him late. ******. Next!

Thompson is the true gate keeper though.

                  Pulev isn't very good

Pulev is not a very talented fighter. Basically going nowhere in boxing. Pulev couldn't beat Huey Fury or Mario Huck.

I thought that it was a close fight until Tony stop fighting after the 7th or 8th round. I was also not all that impressed with Pulev and don't see him as any real threat to Wlad.
