I don't see it happening. Tysons was a perfect combination of raw talent and psychoticness with made him that much more entertaining. A true seek a draw destroy type of fighter. I loved watching him have total disregard of his opponents abilities and just hunt them down. He made the undisputed HW champ Michael Spinks look like he never boxed a day in his life.

I understand that, but what many US posters don't seem to understand is that there are bigger sports in other countries too, they all have alternative sports. Boxing is hardly No.1 in any country.

There could also be a construction worker or a mail clerk with serious athletic gifts who just never got into sports for whatever reason, you can't just make up imaginary boxers and dismiss the guys who are on top now in this place called reality.

Right.....I agree, that's why the argument as a whole just doesn't work. Deal in reality.

The question is not whether a new Mike Tyson is out there. Of course he is. The question is, is there a new Cus D'amato out there?

But in the US, boxing is not just one of the many... Boxing is almost last on the list

Like I said, most American heavyweights today are Football players that didn't make... They start in their late 20's to early 30's...

European countries have extensive amateur programs... US does not

I guarantee if the Klitchkos were born in the US they would be basketball players, I PROMISE you that
