London - Undefeated super bantamweight champions Kid Galahad and Jazza ****ens have been nominated for the prestigious Boxing Writers' Club Young Boxer of the Year Award.
Ahead of their British title blockbuster at the Magna Centre, Rotherham, Galahad and ****ens now have the added incentive of possibly putting their names alongside the best fighters Britain has produced, when they collide on September 14th, live on Channel 5 from 8pm.
Previous winners of the accolade include Ricky Hatton, Joe Calzaghe, Naseem Hamed, Nigel Benn, Frank Bruno and John Conteh, who all received the honour before going on to become world champions and now Galahad and ****ens could be about to walk the same path.
