It seems that to some fans fighters only become bums when they fight Floyd Mayweather, when they fight each other though they are taking on the tough challenges.

As for JMM. Exactly how was that fight a joke? JMM seems to me to have shown him self to be fully capable of beating top competition in the welterweight division. You can't retrospectively disregard fights simply because the outcome wasn't what you had hoped.

        • Mosley beating Marg was a big win for him. But he was coming off a 17 month layoff, the longest inactive streak of his career at 38 years old. thats a pretty big deal. Thats the same amount of time Oscar was off before he fought Floyd - 17 months at 33-34 years old. Seems pretty convenient for Floyd. Both guys were older, rustier fighters from a completely different era and both had some success (depending on your definition). Mosley's almost destruction of Floyd in the 2nd round before gassing out and getting dominated is "some" success in my book. That was the most hurt I've ever seen Floyd. Oscar forcing a SD and giving/taking in the early rounds is "some" success also in my book.

          • You also have to consider the Margarito he beat that night. The one that got cheating and may have been entering the ring lacking his “confidence” wraps for the first time. But regardless, whether Margarito was a legitimate puncher/brawler or not, Mosley had feasted on Mexicans his whole career. He grew up on Pomona/So-Cal, fighting Mexican brawlers in the gym each day since he was 5 years old. There was nothing in Margarito’s style or physical attributes that wasn't innately Mexican. Except maybe he was pretty tall for the weight. Mosley saw a tough straight forward Mexican guy with a chin and decent pop, and fought him like he had always done. So big win, yes because Margarito just beat Cotto. But for Mosley it was nothing new, but a style he was comfortable with. Fact. So don’t give him too much credit for the KO win of the confidence lacking, busted for cheating and familiar styled Margarito.

              • I hope these two get into some kind of back-and-forth twitter-esque war.

                • It's funny how much I'm a big Money fan but I can't stand Broner. I keep saying how much Broner is trying to copy Money's everything but there's only one Floyd. Broner is trying to continue what Money is doing because Floyd ain't going to be around forever so he figure's he'll be boxing's big mouth bad guy. I hope he gets his ass knocked the f u c k out before all that.

                  • And as much as I hate to say this...if Broner ever fought Pacroid, I would be routing for Pacroid to beat his a s s.

                    • Mayweather Sr. is going to lose his job with his son if he don't keep his mouth shut. Mayweather Jr. don't want to fight broner.
