Roy vs Floyd - who was harder to beat prime for prime?

I know this thread has probably been done in the past. But in your opinion, which of these guys was harder to beat. Neither really lost (Griffin, and Castillo 1st fight close, aside) in their prime, and were very dominant.

P4P I think Roy was faster and had genuine KO power which along with his speed and reflexes was his main defence. Fighters were scared to attack him in a reckless way because they would expose themselves to possibly being KO'd.

With Floyd I think he is a more technical fighter and superior to Roy in that aspect. He nullifies his opponents using his shoulder roll, and outstanding defence. I also think he is a smarter fighter, but obviously didnt carry that same punishing power.

    Thoughts?...

I chose floyd, just for the simple fact that he is more fundamentally sound and has faced better competition,,,,,

H2H i think roy would beat floyd,,, but overall who is a tougher out, i think it is floyd,,,
to good at everything to be beat by someone his size,,,,,,

roy got troubled by griffith in the first fight, and also got dropped by del valle,,,
Those things would never happen to floyd,, to good on defense

question should be, "if you're a prime fighter, who would be harder to get in the ring?"

Both of these guys were unstoppable in their primes. That's why most posters here hate them lmao. But Floyd was too smart and had a much stronger fundamental base than did Roy who relied more so on his talent where as Floyd relied more so on his skill. I'm taking Floyd, no one his size can beat him.

roy.... cos he ran so damn much....

hard to beat a guy who hit's you and then is gone....

floyd is an old school fighter....

he stays in the pocket.... sure he uses his feet....

but he'll stand in the pocket, roll and slip punches.....

roy seldom gave an opponent that type of opportunity....

i think roy was the better athlete.....

          but floyd the better boxer....

          both great.

roy's easier to like now, the haters find him much more tolerable....

cos he's diminished his great legacy so much in recent years.

I would say Floyd (especially a prime Floyd) is a little more difficult to beat then a prime Jones, because Floyd is more well rounded then any version of Roy Jones, especially at Junior lightweight.Floyd at junior lightweight hit very hard, and that was in his addition to his very advanced boxing skills.

Floyd Mayweather. Roy Jones jr looked more spectacular at his best than Mayweather at his best but Jones had flaws that Mayweather simply didn't/doesn't have.

Id say floyd... Its tuff because I think roy is p4p one of the best fighters ever. He completely disposed of toney and hopkins and those are legit fighters that would be champs in any era. But floyd has showed that he is as close to unbeatable as it gets.
