I dont think Khan was a gift. He pushed Peterson and made him slip, was told to stop pushing, kept doing it, lost a point, kept doing it, lost another point. He could have just stop doing it and stick to fking boxing. Peterson kept pressure, cut him, landed the best punches. That plus the correctly deducted points gave him the victory.
He won the most rounds against Ortiz, and an almost KO isnt a KO so that's why he won. I dont think he stole that fight either. Close? competitive? sure.
I think Peterson is a very good overal fighter, smart, tons of heart. Tough, pressure fighter although big KOs can have an effect sometimes on boxers so we have to see where he goes now after losing to Matthysse.

It is irritating to see the name of Matthysee in the same sentence with Martinez The Great!
I am not a hater , but he just didn't show anything impressive , even K.Oing Garcia 2:59 round.1 isn't impressive for me
I want to see him against a boxer like Bradley . he had 2L against the best 2 boxers in his resume and a good win against post-PED Peterson .

Lets be honest here. Two losses that had it been any of the other "protected" fighters would have been clean vicotries to brag about.
And its not just beating his opponents, its the way he's doing it. Trashing a Dallas Jr. as if he's not there is one thing (though I doubt many elite fighters would do it as easily) but trashing Peterson, the IBF champ in a way no other fighter ever did says a lot.
I like Maravilla, and I am Argetine an of course support boxers form my country, but I'm not blind and know that as great as Maravilla was and probably still capable of another impressive fight giving his unmatched boxing skills and ring IQ, his body just isnt the same any more and cant keep up with his heart.
I agree though that just beating a bum like Garcia isnt much to brag about either, but like with Peterson its the way in which he will win impressively that will make the difference. Trust me, it will be impressive. That kid bleeds, Matthysse is like a hungry monster and will tear his head off like a soft tomatto.

He didn't win most rounds against Ortiz. Basically it was 5 a piece but Ortiz had 2 KDs. Anytime a fight is that close in rounds, but a fighter scores 2 knockdowns, and the other fighter WON is gifted a win.

^ that, my friend, is entertainment. Not only does Danny provide just as entertaining fights as Matthysse; he makes music for his fans, he helps sick children, is very charitable and his dad helps hype up fights and bring the best out of Danny's opponents.
