You said "no effort". Does that sound like no effort to you? Pacquiao said no, tucked tail and ran to fight Bradley. We all know what has happened since then.

Yeah it was a lowball offer (which ironically looks pretty good now), but it could have been a starting point for negotiating. Instead allegedly Pacquiao just said "no" and hung up. You wouldn't open a negotiation with the most you're willing to give, that is just bad business.
Anyone that has negotiated business will tell you that one also doesnt open a negotiation by insulting the other party...unless you dont really want to negotiate.

I higlighted exactly what you said. Then I put the other names to illustrate the same point.

Floyd gave Manny everything he wanted and he walked away. Then when Manny decides its time then floyd is supposed to say "ok, cool". Thats bull*****.

We don't always agree but you have IMO always been reasonable. That just doesn't seem reasonable to me.

I really don't think it was that offensive an offer considering most people thought Pacquiao had lost his previous fight (Ring Magazine Robbery of the Year - Pac-JMM III). So now it is Floyd's fault Arum and Pacquiao refused to negotiate with Schaefer right around then as well?

That is no effort. It was no different than Arum's "countdown clock" or the stadium to be built. A bunch of bull**** to give the appearance of wanting the fight, like his whole, "Yes, Manny Pacquiao, you're next!" thing.

Alvarez is too slow, he's getting shut out and possibly stopped
Castillo absolutely needed a bat. He may have won if he had one.

I didn't say Mayweather ducked Mosley or Cotto or that it's okay for Oscar to be the big dog but not Mayweather.

Pac walked away, and neither guy ever cared afterwards. No one should be pretending either Pac or Mayweather has ever really tried to make that fight besides 2 brief months in 2009 and 2010.

I'm not about to get into a senseless and puerile Manny v Floyd argument because I dislike them both and their fans. Their ridiculous egos f-ed up the fight...but what's more ridiculous are fans that think its all one-sided.

If you think Jmm v Pac 3 is a robbery you are insulting REAL robberies.

Since those first negotiations one guy's stock has plummeted while the other guys has remained the same or even increased. Yet somehow Floyd is just supposed to bend to the guy who robbed him and his rapidly fading star's demands? It is so illogical.

So picking up the phone calling Manny, personally, offering him the largest payday he's ever seen is "not wanting to negotiate". Ok guy.
