He's born and bread to be a boxer, he's the EMBODIMENT of the sport you ppl claim to be a fan of, the fact that you can hate on him seriously reflects your credibility as a fan and your appreciation for the game.

His peers, fellow boxers and trainers, people who themselves are in pound for pound discussion, trainers who have worked with the greatest fighters in history, trainers who are training some of the greatest fighters of all time and active fighters today, reporters and analysts who have seen more fights than you can count and have been around to watch and interview and see the pioneers of our sport train and fight all tell you the same thing....THIS GUY IS DIFFERENT!

Canelo is a good fighter with great intangibles and he's got a chance at beating Floyd like half the other guys he's faced, don't get it mistaken. Nacho jokes about this bat ****, everyone has a chance at this level, but what sets Mayweather apart is his training and his ability to think and make adjustments that put these other dudes out of range.

Appreciate the art and science of boxing and if you're gonna hate then do your thing, but you're gonna look ****** in the end
            Amen!

Hah, you need to ask yourself

if floyd is so great, why did he retire to duck when the ww division was at its best

why did he avoid a prime Mosley, cotto, williams, pac, kostya and margo

the answer is there folks, the biggest and most clear being when floyd retired to duck the best, no question about it, he retired and came back when the competition was faded and even after then cherry picked his way with c class fighters and lightweights or guys way past their prime near the end of their careers

He never avoided those dudes. He chased Mosley for years. He offered Pac his biggest pay day twice and they turned it down twice. Cotto was being protected at the time. Kostya was injured and fought 2 times in 28 months. Margo basically got caught in the middle of the Bob Arum Floyd Mayweather beef. Call that collateral damage. And why would Floyd take a pay cut to fight Paul Williams? Nobody with any sense would.

While Floyd does embody the pinnacle of work ethic and skill, boxing is founded on the best fighting the best...the best always seeking the toughest challenge. He has fallen a bit short there, for whatever reason. So while his elite status cannot be denied, he is not the complete embodiment of the sport. This era lacks that final gear.
