WBC super featherweight world champion Takashi Miura has arrived in Japan after successfully defending his title against rugged Mexican Sergio “Yeyo” Thompson last Saturday in Cancun, Mexico after which he had to be rushed to the hospital when he began to vomit blood.
The WBC said “Champion Miura proved he’s a solid champion by successfully defended his title abroad for the first time” even though he vomited blood after the brutal bout and was rushed to hospital where doctors he had suffered some damage to his liver.
