Chad Dawson should fight him. The Stevenson KO doesn't tell us too much as he was ko'd with one punch in the 1st round.

Dawson vs. Kovalev would be great test for both.

He should fight again, the iron is hot for him he still has a lot of year left and it is not like his last fight was that grueling, take a month or so off while his team get a fight lined up and then get camp going some time in October or possibly late September depending on the time frame.

Seems to work perfectly as for who any decent 175 pounder would do.

It shouldn't be Dawson. He needs to take his time and come back properly.

Chilemba is actually very skilled and arguably unbeaten. I think he could at least make Kovalev look bad.

Shumenov or Dawson would be good. Other decent opponents include Chilemba, Bellew (who called Kovalev a bum) or Braehmer (who fights this Saturday, so he could fight again on Nov 30).

Stevenson, Pascal and Hopkins have fights scheduled.
