Somebody justify a 300k payday for Stevens

This fight might very well hit over 1 rating and therefor he deserves it.Why, how much does Stevens make sparring?
Here's how you can start reasoning it: undefeated A-side champ GGG just made 350k in his last fight, as did undefeated champ, #1 American Quillin. If you're bringing 3 losses (2 really bad ones, and 1 unwatchable), and 0 top ten wins in any division, you should be happy with 10k on FNF. But props to him for milking his retirement wage

Your list is incomplete, it's missing GGG Macklin which did over 1m. At this point he's doing 1m no matter who the opponent is. Stevens might sell a couple of hundred extra tickets, that's about it. Hey the atmosphere counts. This fight might very well hit over 1 rating and therefor he deserves it.

I don't bet on boxing, but GGG will be a massive favorite, so I'd stand to gain little. If you're a Stevens believer though, you may be able to buy a new car putting down 1kComment

Like I'm saying, there were better opponents out there for GGG. Golovkin took a step up with Macklin but is taking 10 steps back with the Stevens fight. It's just a way for HBO to get GGG another easy KO and keep feeding this aura of invincibility he's generating.Comment
