Canelo still needed more time. Both for himself and for us to then gauge if he improved enough to bring those odds to at least 50% - 50%.
Most people saw it in the Trout fight (and other fights). Besides the CW, Canelo has too many serious issues to fix that it would be hard to believe that he would be able to fix with only one training camp.

nobody should rule out canelo....
he's young, strong, hungry and if he got to hit floyd early and cleanly floyd will be in big trouble or perhaps ko'd.....
i think floyd was pushed to this fight to soon because of the failure moneywise of his first show with espn.........

Floyd by unanimous decision, rather easily like usual...nobody from 140-154 can beat Floyd Mayweather...Canelo does nothing better than Floyd, he doesn't possess the jab of Cotto's or superb hand speed of a Judah...nothing he can show Floyd that he hasn't seen before...
I've heard time and time again how a guy is supposed to be too big and strong for Floyd and he hasn't lost yet...that style plays right into a counterpuncher's hands...
I don't see how anyone thinks this fight will be competitive..maybe one day Floyd will have to eat his words but it won't be September 14th...another trip to the bank for Mr. Mayweather...
The co-main event should be the main event if you ask me...

Just accept it. Floyd is the most dominant force in boxing. There is no one alive from 140-154 that will beat him.
I remember when Mosley was the guy, when Vivian Harris, Judah, Berto, Oscar, Hatton, Khan etc was the guy.
Then it shifted to Alvarez and now its Golovkin, next year it will be Matthyse it never ends been that way forever on here.
Floyd constantly makes these fighters look like shyt. Face it. Accept it. Deal with it. Come to grips with it. It will make it easier to cope. But FFS its going on 17 years hes not a fluke.

Yes, if you look at it that way, everyone and anyone has a chance BUT the odds are not good when you look at it as a whole ..... and that is what I'm doing.
Canelo fights flat-footed and Floyd has his dad as a trainer now. So I see Floyd pot shotting and moving all night long. Canelo may get tired just trying to get at Floyd.
Canelo needs to stay in the fight as long as possible and hopefully take the early rounds. This way it puts more pressure on Floyd to come in and fight.

Canelo needs more time and the CW will not help. Most of us know this and I said this way before the fight was announced .... but I surely had a good laugh at Floyd and some of his fans when they said "Canelo is too big to fight Floyd" ... then the CW ...
