Why should he retire after one loss? Just because he got beat badly doesn't mean he should retire. There's been many world champs that made great money and accoplished a lot after getting beaten badly.

      Cleverly disgraced Wales and himself

Nate Cleverly was exposed as a weak light tapping boxing fraud unworthy of ever being called a champion. As the Wales Wimp's record indicates Clev never had a real fight against a credible opponent ever. The humiliating loss was deserved. Clev was actually calling out the great Carl Froch England's all time greatest warrior. Clev was embarrassed and as was Wales

I sense a little hostility here. Can I ask where that comes from?

but dude, no, wales is a country.

what part of Britain has its a national team, stadium, anthem, own language spoken, written on road signs and taught? Somewhere not in England.

Kovalev's record was less impressive than Cleverly's was. I'm not how this shows Kovalev is great. Big punchers can often destroy respectable opponents, but then as soon as someone stands up to their power they are often shown to be limited. Let's see how he does against someone a bit tougher...

As for Cleverly he should have taken a proper fight earlier in his career, that's the trouble when you are are protected, you don't get a chance to harden up. He just got thrown in the deep end and couldn't cope. At least he is living in the real world now. Could be the best thing that happens to him.

Yea but, you are instructing him to retire directly. Why? One loss doesn't have to end a whole career. Will you retire and find a new career if you have a terrible day/week at work too?
