Garcia is sayin he's gonna fight smart and I have to give it to him, he does show some great intelligence, but what he's failing to understand is Matthysse is also a smart fighter, he too has also improved since the Judah fight, and well the first round is gonna be very tence, I don't expect much to happen at all, Garcia has acknowledged Matthysse can ****, so I think he'll be circling away, but Matthysse won't start loading up until he finds a good range, can Danny land that all important left hook of his or will Matthysse catch him n send his gameplan out the window like he did with Peterson???

Everyone's got a gameplan. What makes fighters special is when they can adapt their gameplan . . . If you get rocked severely, panic kicks in, anxiety, adrenaline switching up the gameplan might not always be so easy.

It's just surreal to see so many people who think that this is going to be a highly competitive fight. Garcia could not to be more tailor-made for Matthysse. He constantly relies on standing flat-footed in front of his opponent and attempting to trade bombs. That works great against someone like Khan who throws seven-punch combinations and has a weak chin. But try it against a brawler with the chin and power that Matthysse has and you're going to be knocked out.

After watching the video, I don't see many similarities between Matthysse and Theophane.

Theophane was moving in and out, tried to give Danny angles,and was often on his toes. Of course he doesn't seem to have that kind of power Matthysse posseses. I haven't watched the full fight, but going by these 2 rounds I can't see any resemblance with Matthysse tbh.

Maybe the way they both lunge in with big shots, but even there, Theophane seems to rely on hand and foot speed, while Matthysse relies on power and timing.
