Calzaghe, he was matched with EUbank who clearly wasn't interest in a SMW career again.

Although Joe did prove he was world class by facing a world level opponent with that decent victory over Kessler some 10 years later.

He got Ricky burns the wbo lightweight title for beating a shopworn Michael katsidis. That was for the interim strap, knowing jmm was going to move up and vacate. Burns Is the man though so I won't hold it against him.

Jurgen Braemer pulled out of defending the title against Cleverly at the last minute. He is even the mandatory right now but was still too scared to take the fight.

Steve Collins and Johnny Nelson both retired instead of facing Joe Calzaghe and Maccarinelli respectively. Should they have been made champions emeritus?
