    3 of the Worst

Ok, I want you guys to name the 3 worst, most useless fights your favourite fighters ever went through. They may have been fights they performed badly in or fights where they could have chosen a better opponent but didnt. It may even have been a lopsided drubbing your fighter received at the hands of a lesser opponent or problems with weights, such as CWs between Leonard and Hearns or Lalonde. So fire away!

    Mine are:
Manny Pacquiao one of my all time favs a a true legend of the sport but his bouts with Margarito, Mosley and JMM III were terrible for different reasons. First off, Mosley was an old shot fighter when he boxed Floyd, just not a worthy opponent a year later for Pac. Margy was a one eyed corpse, I loved the beating he got at Pac's hands but still not good enough for a p4p great.
JMM III is terrible because Pac should have lost that fight, I had Marquez winning by 2 or 3 rounds if I remember correctly, Pac was slow, lethargic and unwilling to trade for much of the night. It was worse than getting KOd by Hulk Marquez in the rematch.

MAB another fav and another ATG but his fight with Khan was pathetic, he shouldn't have been in the ring with a much bigger, much younger and much stronger fighter. Khan battered Barrera around the ring that night and yet MAB, normally a man of honour has the audacity to claim he was robbed due to the cut.
The JMM fight was too late in his career, he sullied his record with that because for however great JMM is, MAB, primed was on a different level and would have slowly dissected him over 12 rounds. Still gave it a right go and made JMM work hard for a win. The Jones fight simply because Jones was all wrong for MAB, he had no chance and the debacle with his training team was equal parts hilarious and sad.

    Holyfield, every fight post-Lewis

Ali man....gota start this off with the Holmes debacle, need I say more? Also the first Spinks fight, Ali was out of shape, not motivated and got beat by a man who in his prime would have lasted barely 2 rounds with the great Ali. I'll add the second Frazier fight too, Ali jabbed and clinched his way to victory, with none of the drama and excitement that so many of his other fights provided, especially his 2 OTHER epic encounters with Frazier.

Pac/Mosley fight. A whole trip planned around this fight and it was a stinker. It was actually the low of the trip. A very forgetable fight

Like I said, these are the worst fights your fav fighter could have taken. This was a terrible fight for Ali to take, he should have stayed retired. One of my criteria was "your fav fighter taking a drubbing at the hands of a lesser opponent". Holmes was a great HW but he was a lesser opponent, a primed Ali or an Ali of even 1975 would have beaten Holmes every night of the week.

This is kinda the whole point of the list, hence me including MAB/Khan as well. Maybe try reading before you post, it normally helps

I see a few excuses in there for MAB and Tony. They got their asses whooped as they would have on ANY given night by both Pac and Khan. No plaster, no glory.

but that is exactly my point , if referring to a legend like ali look at the positives instead of the negatives!!! we all know his handlers had a massive part to play during those last 2 fights! why be a ****** and look at the negatives? on any fighter that is , do you have any experience int he ring?

De la Hoya/Gatti: Gatti had no shot AT ALL in that fight and everybody knew it.

Clottey/Corrales: I always wanted to see Corrales jump up in weight but not against a good fighter like Clottey who was 170 pounds on fight night. Corrales vs Gatti would have been a much better fight for Corrales's welterweight jump. Man that would have been a GREAT fight!

Arce/Donaire: Arce's an old skool nuts and guts fighter that has won titles in multiple weight classes but he was way past his prime, he had no business being in the ring with a prime Donaire, it was a horrible style match up.

I still feel they robbed Arce of a victory in the Carbahal fight, that was a horrible stoppage.

^^^^^ this & I'd trow in when Ray Lenord came back & figured he could beat a young Terry Norris.

Pac-Mosley was horrible. The only possible saving grace going in was excitement, and Mosley didn't even give us that.

Matthysse-Dallas Jr was crap. They tried to give Lundy to Lucas before that, which was just as bad. Screw that, Matthysse fans wanted Garcia even then.

Every fight since Glen Johnson for Roy.
