Kiko Martinez vs Carl Frampton II needs to happen

In his last fight, Frampton KTFO Martinez, and now Martinez is the champ while Frampton is the contender for that title

    wtf boxing

Kiko owes Frampton a shot at the belt imo, make it happen

Isn't Jeffery Mathebula the No.1 contender for that title according to the IBF?

Yeah and he's ranked higher in the division than Frampton AND Kiko.

I'd love to see Frampton v Kiko 2, the lil man would get stopped far quicker this time.

I wouldn't mind that, but is there an audience in Spain? I've never seen a big event in Spain the same way we'd see in Belfast or Dublin..

I'd rather see the fight on the Undercard to a big event in the US IMO, Kiko got some recognition for the Romero fight this weekend, and with the Irish contingent in America Frampton could do a John Duddy and make a big splash (Although with a lot more talent than the punch bag Duddy)

There is not a big market in spain, but maybe HBO is interested. I would love to see this fight, but not in NI. Let´s do it in the states. Mathebula in Spain and Frampton II in america, if Kiko win. That's a plan.

I'd rather watch this instead of Kiko/Donaire. It definitely needs to happen on HBO/Showtime though.

Must be a TR connection. If your with TR losing is bette than winning if you want a bigger fight.

I think Kiko will get Rigo next.

                  It's a good little fight.

Martinez hits like a man twice his size and keeps coming back from setbacks even harder and more determined than before; the original tough little 'fecker.

I actually thought he made Frampton work and sweat more than a little bit in their first fight and that a rematch would be a classic.

The Spanish actually like their boxing a fair bit and I bet there's a Bull Ring in Alicante which would sell out for Martinez-Frampton 2. Lot's of expat Irish and Brits in Spain as well, so the fight should sell well at the gate.

Im torn between wanting to see this or seeing Kiko vs Rigo. I feel like Martinez is the perfect fighter to make Rigo look exciting to the casual fans and it would be a unification fight.

On the other hand you have to feel that Frampton, by virtue of beating Martinez by knock out only 1 fight ago should probably be in line to challenge. Its the price you pay for ****ing around with promotional/ tv network problems i suppose.
