To justify jeering at a national anthem is something the English underclass are used to. Its common practice amongst the yobs of Englad.
It's not tiddlywinks or chess match, it's a fight. The people are gathered there to watch a fight.

What some people (mostly from across the Atlantic) can't comprehend is that there's nothing malicious intended about booing an anthem, it's part of the pantomime.

The crowd always pay respect after the fight is over and most of these fighters end up with more UK support than from anywhere else (just check their twitters).

Personally I wouldn't boo an anthem, at least not the US one, because I see on here how some people get their knickers in a twist about it.

No, sir. If you were to really understand British racism in its historical ideological sense, this kind of disrespefctful booing is just a tip of the iceberg. There is no justification to it, and to endorse it as pantomime is truly shocking. It's not WWE.

A lot of the UK fans are amongst the best in the world. I like to think they're not be confused with the countless yobs over there who are like hooligans: unintelligent, uneducated, inarticulate, incurious, and uncultured.

I think you should respect the anthems. You have the ring walk and the fight itself to try to intimidate the opponent, so there's no need to show such disrespect at that time.

I expect because in the US you get a smaller proportion of international sports relative to the much greater proportion of interstate sport is? So international anthem booing is less widespread in the USA? just guessing, could be hopelessly wrong.

booing of anthems is personal anthema to me too. How you gonna feel when you lose, you know., that's how I feel, I don't want to go home feeling too annoyed.

Yeah club anthems and name announcement in footie get booed a lot, so its part and parcel of England's endemic.

It's lads on a night out at the boxing. lol don't talk to me about 'over there', I'm from 'over there'. I know you have an issue with British boxing in general, it's clear from your other posts but you're wrong on this one. Watch Kovalev acknowledge his UK fans in the future, just like Andre Ward, Tony Thompson and Malik Scott amongst others.

Yeah, US sports are for the most part internal. Their anthem is treated with reverence at major sporting events and they're not used to it.

booing of anthems is personal anthema to me too. How you gonna feel when you lose, you know., that's how I feel, I don't want to go home feeling too annoyed.

It's not just England, it's all across Europe when it comes to football. It actually makes more sense at boxing than it does at football, boxing is combative, it's supposed to be intimidating atmosphere for the outsider.

Martin Murray went to Argentina to fight and that was on a whole 'nother level, they spat and threw drinks over him, ripped up the ring. That's real hooliganism, but freethinkersam are more interested in getting at the UK crowds which for the most part are very well behaved.

Point 1 you failed to respond to.

But really it's answered in your response to my 2nd point where you endorse this xenophobia by referring to it as 'the lads on a night out'.

                Say no more.

And yes, I do have an objective problem with aspects of British boxing. Warren is a leaching gangster, Terry O Connor is a bent paid off crook, and some fans over there are delusional

There was no point for me to respond to. You called it racism, but crowds will boo fighters during domestic fights from different parts of the UK when it's two white guys. The crowd back the house, and usually local fighter.

You're calling them hooligans for booing. Think about this, they're not assaulting anyone, they're not throwing rocks, they're booing - just like people do at a pantomime. It's harmless.

Now we're getting to the truth. There's an easy solution brother, don't watch it.
