Plaza De Toros, Cancun, Mexico - WBC super featherweight champion Takashi Miura (26-2-2, 19 KO’s) was in hostile territory but he still turned back the challenge of hard puncher Sergio "Yeyo" Thompson (31-3, 29 KO’s), with two knockdowns to win a twelve round unanimous decision. The scores were 113-112, 114-110 and 114-111. Mirua himself was down in the fight as well, when Thompson caught him in the eight. [Click Here To Read More]

Good win for Miura, a unification fight with Uchiyama would be a nice japanese fight.

Lets hope Miura is ok! He was taken to hospital after vomiting blood and they have identified that he has liver damage from the body blows.

          What a war that was!

Fantastic fight, but the 113-112 score was 2 close, IMO , Miura won by more than 1 point, vicious body shots...no defense by Thompson was his problem...

A Japanese champ went outside his country and beat the local guy in a war. That's what I like to see.

Nothing but respect for Miura. I hope he will be ok.
