Very hard fight w/many hard punches...nothing about Miura on the early MX news, I hope he'll b ok...Miura won but I thought the 113-112 was a bit too close...he won by more than a point...

It seems that the reports of Miura being rushed to the hospital are true. has reported also that the Japanese fighter vomited blood and at the hospital doctors found serious liver damage so it appears this is not only one of those rumors just like the one saying that Giovanni Segura had a broken eye socket after fighting Viloria or Chavez Jr having also a broken eye orbital against Sergio Martinez. We all know that Margarito had one broken face bone as a result of fighting Manny (which basically ended Marg's career) and after that every time there was a bad beating many people started to believe that it happened again. In any case, I hope Miura recovers and continues his career.

Miura seems to be ok apparently, surprised Thompson is!

I think the scorecards were way too close, I had it 117-108, Thompson took a pretty savage beating. The 10th round in particular he was being battered all over the place and the ref (useless Laurence Cole, surprise, surprise) didn't look like he was even looking to stop it. Thompson looked weak in the legs through most of the fight and slow with his punches, luckily for him Miura defends punches with his head. Miura is a beast though but anyone who saw the Uchiyama fight would have seen that.
