    Ward would get KTFO

Kovalev is very savvy in the ring. He'll start off boxing with the jab trying to find a opening with the right hand. Once he sees how you are blocking he'll throw power hooks that will have you thinking defense from now on. Even if you block him, they still do alot of damage and he throws combinations upstairs and downstairs.

The only way to beat him is if you have a longer reach and throw jabs to the body from outside and when he gets in close, hold him in a way that he can't get shots off. Hes very good when someone is holding him and hes still hitting.

Hope Hopkins beat Murat because I really want to see how Kovalev handles a crude old veteran like Bhop.

Won a few quid on a Braker / Kovalev double lastnight.
Good performance from Kovalev...i was surpried it was a fight Warren made, wonder what is next now for Cleverly.

As for Kovalev, i hope he gets a shot at Hopkins.

The only reason for this is that he was in the ring with skilled and heavy handed fighter. It's not that Clev was less good than before - it was that Kovalev was way above his level. After all your predictions that Cleverly wins you still can't give respect where it's due.

Totally agree. Cleverly was out of his depth and his performance reflected that. Kovalev KOs him 100 times out of 100.

Props to Cleverly for taking the gamble and for showing heart. Kovalev is just too good for him and tbh looks like an absolute monster.

            Kovalev vs Ward please.

Kovalev is going to retire Hopkins if they fight. Just too much power and heart for the old man.

Ward might be the only man who can beat him, but a Froch vs Kovalev fight would be great to see.

I have seen many of kovalevs fights and he fights just like he did in the amateurs. keeps his hands moving but you can use that against him. his opponents stay in the pocket and just cover up. how come team clev didn't commit to going to the body, throw feints, every now and them tie him up, step around him and counterpunch from angles there was no plan B. he's got decent height but he fights small. kov is gonna throw his shots but that is where you can get him. beat him at his own game. he's open for uppercuts and short hooks inside. not gonna beat him throwing 1 or 2 punches at a time. still kov is decent. I just see to many flaws. we will find out how good he is when he takes on some of the top guys.

I think he was afraid to throw once he felt his power, his game plan sure looked like he wanted to take him deep but he needed to go hard to the body and at least get his respect with an occasional big shot. Kovalev is no joke it seems.
