Agreed, Campillo is decent but a very slow starter and has a glass chin, perfect for a hard hitting/fast starter like Kovalev. Cleverly was an average fighter, average power, that stood there right in front of Kovalev to be hit, both tailor made.

A guy that likes to counter, hard to be hit, etc. would give him hell, however I think Hopkins is too old at this point to beat him.

Just seemed like he fought Kovalev's game plan. No lateral movement beyond round one, sticking out the jab occasionally is not going to result in victory against a guy like this.

Once again, ****** gameplan. After round 5 I'm absolutely certain his workrate would have dropped significantly.

Not at all. Campillo has been KOd before, been down a couple of times as well - came in out of shape, soft and demotivated.

Nathan proved Kovalev to be the absolute real deal. I'm sure people will say Clev was a hype job. But I don't think so. Kovalev is just THAT good,

I was also wrong. I thought Cleverly would survive the early rounds and take over but not the best game plan. Props to Kovalev. He's a beast and once he smells blood he's all over you like a hungry lion. Should be fun to see how far he'll go. He's there to be hit and I don't see this unstoppable force that some people think he is. He's extremely dangerous though.

People say Hop is too old but if he looks good in his next fight and wants to continue fighting then I'd love to see Hop vs Kovalev.

Fonfara did the same thing to him last night on ESPN.

Cleverly kind of tried to fight a little bit like Carl Froch. Did anyone notice that? With the slow moving forward and the long jab? Over confidence in your chin?
