IBF heavyweight champion Chris Byrd and promoter Don King are reportedly close to settling their lawsuits against each other and parting ways. Byrd's position is that DKP didn't pay him the purses he was promised, while King argues that Byrd turned down the fights that would have paid those numbers and scuttled his plans for a heavyweight unification tournament. Ironically, Byrd's first fight away from King will likely be a rematch in Germany with Wladimir Klitschko, a bout rejected by Byrd when offered by King last year.Looks like W Klitschko-Byrd is gonna be announced soon...

byrd wants to get paid before before he retires so he wants as much as he can without king taking anythiung from him...Comment
