figueroa's chin looks good. gamboa's the classier boxer, but the defense is leaky when he falls asleep.

maybe this is just wishful thinking, but i think figueroa takes him out if he's patient and his hands hold up. he's bigger, probably hits harder, and it hink he's got the better chin. gamboa would land big shots, but his lapses would facilitate figueroa's comeback. late round knockout in a great fight.

lesser punchers than figueroa have badly shaken gamboa. i think gamboa is prime for the taking right now, given the layoff, jump in weight, ped baggage.

Gamboa blows him out. Figueroa was getting clocked repeatly by the Japanese warrior with no power.

Gamboa easily. Figueroa showed that he still has balance issues, defence issues, and other mistakes that newer guys make during the Arakawa fight. Gamboa's got the experience over this kid by a mile.

A Figueroa 5 years from now, versus today's Gamboa, now that's an interesting toss up.
