Why All The Hate for Max Kellerman?

The fact that Boxing is his first love and he then branched out to more "mainstream sports" aside, I don't get it? He needs to be a sports journalist to eat!

He makes everyone on the fight game by Lampley look like a fool. Imagine Kellerman vs Rafael or Montoya on that show? Kellerman would be charged for **** but then be released for knowing more than both combined, despite Rafaels fat head.

I'll never get the hate. Max is awesome. Look at this interview:

He's hard to listen to, goes way over the top with praise like he's about to get down on his knees.

He has an annoying habit of arguing with co-commentators like RJJ and Ward too during the fights like a know-it-all despite his never having boxed.

I love when he and Roy go at it, especially historically. They both know it

This. Also, he gets a smug-wide-eyed-**** eating grin when he gets to do his monologue at the end of a fight card. He also does this thing with his voice where he stresses certain words and it is annoying as hell. He jumps on certain fighters' bandwagons and goes over the top with praise.

His commentary distracts viewers from the action. It's not all his fault but HBO does no play by play. He also seems to have a little more bias in him than guys like Roy.

I've been one of his bigger critics but actually enjoyed seeing him and Wiley on espn.

Paul Williams. The way Max talked about him made me dislike Max. Shameful for a commentator to be that biased.

He questions and contradicts Roy making him explain himself and it's awkward and tedious. RJJ isn't there to answer to Max Kellerman, nor is Andre Ward, he's not the schoolteacher he thinks he is.

Yup ever since Paul got hurt and retired Max has kind of eased back on the Fanboy talk. But I can see him starting all that again with Guillermo Rigondeaux!! The guy actually tried to convince the audience that Rigo's boring ass fight with Nonito was actually exciting!!! He spent the whole fight acting like Rigos own personal cheerleader! Very ***ing annoying!

Williams deserved the hype. In his young career he KO'd Matthysse, Quintana (1) beat Margarito, beat Martinez and Ishida
