Gonzalez was a Don King fighter who Lennon announced for, Carbajal was a Top Rank fighter and Buffer was the announcer for them. When the contract and details were agreed upon, Jimmy Lennon Jr was to be the announcer but Carbajal liked the way Buffer announced him before fights and he insisted Buffer announced him.

That's what happened.

there was a snow storm on the east coast where buffer was coming from and his flight was delayed and did not have time to change the announcers state that and yes what a fight the 5th round was special for carbajal the fight was forehead to forehead slugfest one of my favorites
