Leonard Ellerbe says Canelo n his team are lying about his current weight

Everything can be fixed with a small bribe (and that goes both ways), the WBC does have a reputation too anyway. I wouldn't put too much thought into it though. You guys realize fighters who cut weight generally cut anywhere from 5-20lbs right? It's all water weight.
I can't stand Ellerbe. He's a creepy old hype man. Why is Floyd friends with him?
Isn't the 30 day weigh in conducted by the commission? Pretty sure it is, and if it is then how could it be a lie.Comment

Won't be no where near a comparison to Dawson...he dropped 7. I don't like the catch weight but these are two totally different situations.Under Ellerbe's premise, who's to say Mayweather isn't lying about weighing 150.8? We couldn't even see his torso let alone his feet on that picture (Floyd's). Ellerbe is just complaining so people won't start saying Canelo is drained, which I figure he will be. Probably not on Dawson levels, but he'll be drained alright.Comment

Guys, I truly don't care who you believe. We will find out if two lbs drains Canelo. It drained Floyd which is why he had his contract changed for the Marquez fight. Floyd always makes weight, but you guys thought that those two lbs gave Floyd some sort of advantage over Marquez, and even said that he had no intention of coming in at 144. Floyd came in at 146. Marquez never stopped trying, but you didn't see that. You saw what you wanted to see. And you saw an opportunity to call a man who always makes weight a liar and cheater.
You guys made excuses even before the fight was fought, calling Marquez fat. Was 144 the highest weight that Marquez weighed in at for a fight? I'm not sure. What made you think that by Marquez going up in weight would help Marquez beat Floyd? Maybe Canelo can do the same like Matthysse said and come in at 154.
Regardless Canelo should come in at 154. He made 154 comfortably in his last fight so 152 may or may not be a struggle. But guess what. No excuses. If Canelo fights like a drained fighter, then we can say he was drained. This premature crying doesn't cut it.
All fighters look a bit drained at weigh-ins so we will have to see how he rehydrates, and how he fights. You guys said that Canelo has stamina issues. We will find everything out on fight night. Stop with the premature "he's drained, where is the weight coming off" excuses. Stop being "now" guys. The fight isn't until Sept 14th.
Dont be a hypocrite and say where is the weight going to come off of Canelo when he's been at 154 for how many fights?Comment
