People who say he's "feather fisted" are ******s who make lazy comparisons to Joe Calzaghe. Cleverly is a sharp puncher, he's not a brutal hitter who's going to knock you out with one shot but he's fast and sharp. He probably won't knock out many at elite level but he's a solid enough puncher.

Clev has below average power in my opinion.

He's landed continually on guys like Krasniqi and Karpency and was never able to put them down or seriously hurt them. Same goes for his fights with Murat, Bellew, and Kuziemski. The only time he's really hurt an opponent over the last few years was against the mediocre Shawn Hawk, and Hawk was pummelled before he finally gave in.

He's not powerless and he can wear guys down over rounds, but that's a testament to his high work rate and good stamina, not his power, and comparing him to one of the lightest hitting world level fighters ever doesn't say much.
