Yeah and if Floyd mayweather says the world is flat then it is too. Stop looking for excuses. If Canelo's ass is drained then he needs to fight in his proper weight class. The catch weight is weak but I'm tired of hearing crap when this guy is obviously too massive to even be fighting at 154. But I guess it's ok for him to pick in smaller men for the rest of his career rite? If he loses to Floyd then he lost to a smaller, greater fighter. Period.

I don't think he's really out to imitate Floyd, it's just fundamentals. Not everyone can master it to the level of Mayweather, but plenty of others are good at it.

Canelo has been learning on the job for a while, he's tried different stuff in different fights. I think the Alfonso Gomez fight was the one where he was literally practicing the shoulder roll in an actual fight...it didn't come easy - he struggled, and had some uncomfortable moments against the ropes, but he stuck with it, kept a calm demeanor, and ended up rolling with shots pretty well. Fast forward to the Trout fight and I think even his skeptics could probably admit that his D has improved exponentially. It's just that maintaining that level of D is well.. exhausting...and that is where most of the questions lie for this one.

You cannot count the ORTIZ fight, won't work mang !

Canelo is more mature in his mind and HEART than Ortiz and is proven to be calmer and not freak out under pressure.

This will NOT be Jrs easy money

When you watch Canelo punch in combo he is vicious and if he reaches Jrs body, JR is in trouble and no one can help him.

As far as being EXPOSED, it just might be JR that is EXPOSED and all the world will see the ballerina kid hit the dirt

if I am wrong , so what ?

but if I am right, you will hang yer head and weep

IF JR wins he should fight GGG and prove himself !! Many a great went up in weight to prove their greatness

IF Canelo is a baby , I know one that AIN'T ,,,,,GGG

bottom line is floyd as usual contradicted himself, why is anyone surprised he always does.

im a huge floyd fan but i have dignity and can say he should have just fought canelo at 154 and got him out of there easily and have no excuses and no hate

but he didnt, so he will have to deal with the consequences

but what does he care, hes making bank...

Man stop crying about Cotto yes he was good against Mayweather but he got demolished by Trout who Canelo beat.

Good points, don't forget that most people overlook that Ortiz was doing pretty well before he lost his mind. Also the fact that Mayweather has never looked impressive at 154. He got roughed up by washed up Cotto and in my opinion the fight against De La Hoya should have been a draw. Canelo is going to turn up the tempo for this fight, I really think he's been toying with his prey in some fights and there is a lot more to be seen from him.

How is he too massive for 154? He always makes weight and weighed the same amount as his last opponent. LMAO at the justifications for Floyd's catchweight. It should be more like if Floyd has a 154 belt, he should be fighting at the 154 limit.

Who said anything about excuses?? Mayweather opened his mouth and made himself and his fans look like fools with his comments about how he said Cotto was unbeaten because Pac fought him at a Catchweight. Guess what Floyd is doing?

Exactly! I like how Floyd fans twist things.
