    Official Cleverly vs. Kovalev Prediction, RbR & Discussion Thread

    At today’s official weigh-in on Cardiff’s busy Queen Street, outside the Capitol Shopping Centre, WBO World Light-Heavyweight Champion Nathan Cleverly came in at 12st 6lb (174lb) while the challenger Sergey Kovalev weighed 12st 5lb 8oz (173lbs).

    Undefeated Cleverly makes the eighth and riskiest title defence against the dynamite-punching Russian tomorrow night at Cardiff’s Motorpoint Arena, live and exclusive in the on BoxNation (Sky Ch. 437/****** Ch. 546) and in America on HBO.

    Cleverly said, “There is nothing left to say now and all the talking will be done in the ring tomorrow night. All the hard work is done, I’ve hit the weight spot and I’m ready to fight. I can’t wait for it, bring on Kovalev.”

      Saw a sechback vid where Cleverly was hitting mitts with no wraps. Said he did it because he liked to harden his hands.

                  One punch can change a fight, so you may be right but I think Cleverly has enough pop of his own and is a good enough boxer to win an UD here.

                              Clev is looking confident and ripped, Kov looks like a middle aged bum, I know he isn't but damn, he definitely hasn't got that photo magic lol

                                  Cleverly looks in great shape, Kovalev in good shape in some of the photos but that last pic like some have pointed out is worrying. Nevertheless, a good night of boxing ahead, looking forward to it!

                                      Clev looks more ripped than usual.

                                      Kov does look deflated in that last pic.

                                      Looks can be deceiving though certainly in boxing.
