    HOLLYWOOD, Calif. - BoxingScene.com caught up with Lateef Kayode at the Wild Card Boxing Club on Wednesday after the former crusierweight contender sparred with a heavyweight Kayode estimated weighed "around 252 pounds."

    Kayode told BoxingScene.com that he indeed plans to move up to heavyweight for his next bout, which he hopes will take place in the fall. The 30-year-old from Nigeria looked far bigger; he says his weight is around 217, 218 pounds.

      I think Kayode campaigning at heavyweight is a bad move. I think when he gets in with a true heavy he will easily be stopped. He should stay at Cruiser.

        I don't see much future for Kayode at Cruiser either. If you're a top guy in your division, you should be able to handle a forty something year old who is past his prime, and Kayode struggled a lot against Tarver. I actually thought Tarver did enough to get the W.

          Exactly my point though. Cruiser is the best shot he's got. He'll get knocked off quick at HW.
