in short yes I think a lot of people are underestimating him ... still we'll find out if he's got what it takes soon enough.

Are people underestimating Cleverly?

Hard to see exactly where he stands considering who he's fought but I think he will surprise a lot of people

Hmmm not really, apart from his competition (Am blaming Warren here again) he is facing a known puncher, Clev would answer a lot of question tomorrow because this is the sort of competition that would provide answers to any of our questions.

If he can take the punch off of Kovalev he wins this fight, It's going to be a tough order but should be a great watch.

Cleverly has to fight completely different to how he has done his whole career if he wants to win he is to easy to hit and cant punch so i dont see how he goes the full 12, kovalev has a big punch and he throws solid combinations i got kovalev in 3-7 rounds.

When a fight is close I like to look at boxingrec.com and see exactly who the contestants have been fighting. Cleverleys last 10 opponents had a record of 220 wins and 18 losses when he fought them. Kovalevs last 10 opponents had a record of 142 wins and 65 losses when he fought them. So Cleverely has obviously been fighting at a higher level. If he keeps his head and fighting spirit under control I fancy a cleverly points win.
