I think the time-tables were off. Manny had received the cut during the 3rd Marquez fight. By the time Manny's cut healed, Floyd had already scheduled a different fight.

Manny then proceeded to fight Bradley and we all know what happened. That was when Floyd started saying Manny needed to avenge his loss before fighting him. That's why talks of a Manny-Floyd fight died down, with Manny taking Marquez for a fourth fight.

Now that Manny's been KTFO, Floyd's list of demands is only that much higher; i.e. leaving Top Rank and signing onto Mayweather Promotions.
