Pac should have had this aggressive attitude 3 years ago. He was too much of a nice guy not calling people out etc.. ''Talk to Bob Arum'' dude should have called him out aggressively like this before and then maybe we could have had the fight. I think both of these guys ducked each other when the fight should have been made.
Pacquiao to Mayweather "if im old, im a easy fight, fight me"

Floyd" manny must take a 14 day cut off"
a few months later
manny accepts a 14 day cut off
Floyd "I am spending time with my family and now manny must have a 0 day cut off"
a few months later
manny accepts a 0 day cut off
Floyd "manny must take accept less than 50-50 split" despite his ppv sales increasing, despite say mannys last fight vs marquez doing better than floyds last fight vs guerrero
a few months later
manny accepts less than 50-50
floyd "manny must now sign for my promotion company and fight a few time before he can fight me"
the boxing world
wtf
one man ducked this fight with excuses after excuse
that is floydComment

He did, but Showtime also didn't really benefit financially from that fight because of Floyd's guarantee, gate, ppv %. To me, had the Guerrero fight surpassed expectations I truly don't think the Canelo fight would be happening this soon as that fight a year or two from now could've been explosive (though it's still pretty intriguing). As it stands Garcia and Matthysse seem to be the runners up but at some point both he and Pacquiao are going to look for that big cash out and if both win, ironically it's still a viable fight (for casual fans at least and for Floyd and Pac's bank accounts)Comment

But but Floyd worshipers are some kind of idiots or something. They actually believe their boring idol deserve all the money he's getting now. His PPV numbers are driven by people wanting to see him lose.Comment

Floyd bought out his contract because he wanted the fight with De La Hoya which is the fight that made Floyd a crossover star. Manny became a crossover star WITHOUT fighting Floyd. Manny doesn't need to chase Mayweather and vice versa, hence why the fight in itself wasn't easy at all to make. Of course he'd love the payday, but he doesn't need to put on shackles just to get it.
Also, looking at Floyd's next 3-4 fights, you really think Floyd's team are STILL not going to consider that fight being it still trumps any other opponent besides Canelo financially? People make it seem like Manny's desperate, but what's the next BIG fight for Floyd if he clearly beats Canelo? He's gonna get a guaranteed $35 -40 Million to fight Garcia or Matthysse?
You are right, Manny doesn't need floyd to be a star, but Manny is still the B side. Floyd is clearly making it as difficult as possible for the fight IMO because Manny did it in 09. I'm not defending it or saying its right, but is it fair to get mad at one and not the other?
Floyd does not seem to have more big payday options if he stays at showtime. But GBP/SHo are building up competitors. The manny fight will pay floyd more yes.
The thing is both men want the fight on their terms and their terms only. They both play the leverage game. Floyd could very easily craft an offer to make this fight easy to sign. But manny could easily accept the crap offer, as others have, to make the fight.
So long as we hold both accountable I'm cool.Comment

Pac was never truly number 1
Anyway Floyd fighting in the 2nd biggest fight of the deacde, 1st also included him, and Manny is fighting in China on a Sunday morning for the American public so he can not pay high taxes. I dont even see why he should still be considered right now but he can keep begging
Don't try and rewrite history now.Comment
