I always love a puncher but hoping for the Welshman to pull it off. His engine, work rate and heart should see him take a UD.

Kovalev usually gasses out past the 5th ...opportunity for Nathan to run for the first half of the fight...Comment

Yeah, I think this could end up looking just like the Calzaghe-Lacy fight tbh. You have this feared KO artist who looks unstoppable going against a Welsh boxer trained by his father who is a high volume, quick puncher who not many are giving a shot to win.
I see Kovalev as a somewhat clumsy fighter who will leave many, many openings for Cleverly to tag him right up the middle. Watch out for Cleverly's right uppercut and the left hook to the body to play a big part.Comment

You say: "Kovalev usually gasses out past the 5th..."
No kidding? Kovalev fought a full eight rounder only once in his career -- against the "famous" Darnell Boone; the guy who KOd Stevenson and knocked Ward down, face first, back in 2005... The last time Kovalev stayed 6 rounds into the ring was in December 2011 when he met poor Simakov (who died from brain injuries two days after that fight)...Comment

Excuse me... Kovalev is not a "clumsy fighter"... Please try and study his style a little bit... Kovalev is the mobile power impersonated... (Have you ever seen Vyacheslav Lemeshev at work? I don't usually like Russians, but I highly respect the Russian school of boxing...)Comment

Thanks God it's E-money. Otherwise you would most probably be a little dissapointed at the end of this coming fight.
Clev probably knows that he only has to keep standing on his feet to get a win in UK and hopes that Sergey is simply a browler-puncher who will gas out early. No one knows what will happen but I think that would be very surprising (in a bad way) awakening for Nathan.Comment

He better get him out in 3, because if he doesn't, the distance of the fight is not on his side. I expect the unexpected in this fight.Comment
