You know Lara broke his face right?

Lara doesnt even beat Angulo in a rematch, let alone Cotto. I would like to see more fights of Lara against some good compitition before saying he will "Stop Cotto" or saying "Cotto has no shot."

What ur saying is El Perro's face first offense is better than Cottos ability to maintain his composure... What I'm saying is if El Perro was able to interrupt Lara's game plan what do u think a vet like Cotto would do to him?

I don't think anyone's trying to say Angulo is better than Miguel. Cotto is much better, but he's also too small for the top guys at 154. Also, he's seen better days. Alfredo was able to pressure Lara with his relentless style and stamina. Sure, Miguel will be more technical, but he's known to fade a bit as the fight progresses. Landy is just a little too big and too fresh for the once formidable Cotto.

              This is a fair post.

I think Lara should be the favorite for the aforementioned reasons. Still, a focused Cotto, similar to the one who fought Mayweather, has a shot in this fight. If this was Cotto vs. Golovkin I would say Cotto has no chance.

Cotto could certainly squeak one out versus Lara. We're just talking probabilities, not possibilities. Erislandy is a top-five junior middleweight in a division where none of the top guys are truly dominant. (I don't count Mayweather as a true 154.)

I dont compare opponents that way because that doesnt make sense. Styles make fights and Lara is bigger, faster and a slicker boxer than Cotto at this stage. Cotto has never been a true jmw, he is too short and has t-rex arms. I love him to death but he can't beat Lara.

And I agree. What I originally meant was that your post seemed fair to Cotto at this point. Lara is at the top of his game. Is Lara a better fighter than prime Cotto? I don't think so but he definitely has a lot of talent. Cotto could win but Lara should be the favorite these days.
