    How did he manage that?

I know we are pissed off with 100's of belts, but this is the perfect scenario for what a interim belt needs to be used for! Issue Stiverne a WBC interim belt like they did with Robert Guerrero when he was waiting for Floyd!

Vitali and Ward have been out the same amount of time. The difference is Ward is the king pin of his division and should actually come back. Vitali doesn't have either of those things working for him. Stay away, Vitali. The universe is telling you it's time to go away and enjoy your life.

It's a shame the last true WBC heavyweight champion was a decade ago...since then it's vitali picking up a belt that should be around his brothers waist. It's been a joke since TKO6. His title reign has be a farce. I look at him like i look at povetkin. A phony champion wearing wlad's belts..,
Wow, you're really a quintessential, irrational boxing hater nonfan. VK decisively beat the two best non K fighters of the post Lewis era, Sanders and Peter. He then beat top competition in his defenses. His poor resume is a myth of the hater boxing "fan" culture. He was the most dodged champ in history, with other contenders choosing the weaker out instead of him (Haye vs Wlad) or choosing to fight no K despite huge financial offers from VK (Valuev). As a result, I would state his title defense resume post return is slightly weaker than Wlad, although even that is highly debatable. Check out Boxrec. After Arreola tko's Mitchell, four of the top 15 and 5 of the top 20boxrec rated fighter will have been beaten by VK, as opposed to 3 beaten by Wlad. Meanwhile, historically, his defenses are in line with most champs. Ali, Holyfield, and especially Frazier had some horrible opponents. Sosnowski is the only opponent I rated below the top 20 of VK's modern title defense streak, Frazier's defense against Zyglewicz was possibly the most undeserved title defense ever , Foster and Daniels weren't much better, and Ali's Coopman and Dunn were much worse in their era than Sosnowski in his. Holyfield barely beat Vaughn Bean, who VK went on to crush in a prechampionship fight that is used by some to show he fought "weak" opposition. You can tear down all the old greats wins to if you want, i.e., I've seen some posters talk about Foreman's best win coming against a one eyed dwarf who beat Ali (Frazier). Talk like that cheapens the great champs of old and of the modern era, and real boxing fans shouldn't engage in it.

I hope the speculation VK will go out with one last mega fight against the winner of Haye Fury is accurate, it can move him up further on the ATG list if he wins spectacularly. But if not, I hope he enjoys retirement. He won't get the respect he deserves for a while, and its true that he'll never get the respect he could have got if he'd fulfilled his potential (H2H he may be the greatest of all time), but he's a great champ and true boxing fans are lucky to have seen him.

Even shot-to-**** Vitali beats everyone outside of Wladimir.

              So sad.

Anyway, Vitali is waiting for the winner of Haye-Fury, or he'll come to an arrangement whereby Wlad can challenge for the vacant belt, cementing the Klitschko dominance.

7 out of his 10 comeback fights have been against top ten rated Ring contenders. What more do you expect?

On a side note: Vitali has been the real champ since he wiped his a55 with the Corrie Sanders who annihilated Wladimir.

                End of that discussion.

Why are you making up lies? 3 out of 10 were top 10 ranked: Peter, Arreola and Adamek.

Stiverne has every right to be upset. He won a final eliminator. Meaning they'll get 30 days to agree on a fight to take place within 90 days. Why should Stiverne put his career and income on hold because Vitali ant fight and defend his belt more than once every two years?

Give him emeritus status and move on.

Put his income on hold. I love how you can openly see hate and mask it moral high ground. Haha you make me laugh kudos though I would have the same thing if Hayes did that. Haha

                      Difficult to disagree with.

It's ridiculous how much the abc's get away with setting there own rules then only following them when it suites them, and flat out ignoring them when it suites them better.

In-activity is really harming the sport.

Vitali fighting corruption in the Ukraine? Shit stinks, he'd have to have some knowledge of this being dodgy at best.
